Qbtorrent delete file after download

After updating µTorrent it started displaying an installation wizard my setting as well but now I see that it also deleted my downloaded files I've switched to qBittorrent (available here) and my problems have gone away.

When you dont tick a file for download you are telling qbt that you dont want that file. When you delete the torrent it will remove the .torrent/magnet & remove any unwanted (unticked) file parts. The files you ticked (wanted) will not be deleted unless you tick "Also delete the files on the hard disk". What you are after is something else.
